Canada: Hamas-tied NCCM’s “Open Letter” to Trudeau demands January 29 “National Day of Remembrance and Action on Islamophobia”

NCCM is the former CAIR-Canada. According to Point de Bascule, Faisal Kutty, who recently tried unsuccessfully to get me banned from Canada, “co-founded and served as vice-chair and legal counsel to the Canadian chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), now renamed National Council of Canadian Muslims (NCCM). In 2009, the FBI severed its liaison relationship with the Council on American-Islamic Relations because of its links with the terrorist organization Hamas. In 2014, the RCMP rejected the NCCM’s so-called anti-terrorism guide. The guide promoted jihad (misleadingly presented as ‘striving, struggling and exertion in the path of good’ / Guide p.10) and several Islamist scholars including proponents of armed jihad.”

Now this unsavory Hamas-tied group wants Trudeau to designate January 29 to be a National Day of Remembrance and Action on Islamophobia, because of the January 29, 2017 attack at a Quebec mosque. But that attack has been the subject of a massive coverup. The Quebec mosque shooters were initially identified as Moroccan Muslim Mohamed Khadir and Alexandre Bissonnette (most probably a convert). The shooters in the Quebec mosque attack were Muslim, as is generally the case in these circumstances. The jihadis were shouting “Allahu akbar” as they gunned down men worshiping at a Quebec mosque. But later, the attack was falsely consigned to “white supremacism.”

The facts aren’t stopping the NCCM from running with a completely false and ridiculous narrative. That is how desperate and dangerous the “Islamophobia” industry has become in its quest to smear and destroy anyone and everyone who speaks honestly about the jihad threat and to silence and marginalize all who say anything remotely critical of Islam.

“NCCM: ‘Open Letter’ to Prime Minister calls for January 29 to be National Day of Remembrance and Action on Islamophobia / CNMC : Lettre ouverte au premier ministre pour qu’il décrète le 29 janvier comme Journée nationale de commémoration et d’action contre l’islamophobie,” NCCM, January 5, 2018 (thanks to Marvin):
– For Immediate Release –
(Ottawa – January 5, 2018) The National Council of Canadian Muslims (NCCM), a prominent civil liberties & advocacy organization, sent an open letter today to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau urging the government to designate January 29 as a National Day of Remembrance and Action on Islamophobia.
Supported by a wide spectrum of Canadian Muslim organizations as well as community partners, the open letter comes in the lead up to the first anniversary of the devastating terrorist attack on the Centre Culturel Islamique de Québec (CCIQ) on January 29, 2017, that claimed the lives of six Muslim men, seriously injured many others and left six widows and seventeen orphans.
Read the open letter here.
“The ongoing impact being felt within the Quebec Muslim community and more broadly, Canadian Muslim communities, one year after the attack speaks to the urgent need for our elected leaders to stand firmly against Islamophobia and the agents of bigotry,” says NCCM Executive Director Ihsaan Gardee.
“In light of the upcoming anniversary, we believe such a designation would enable Canadians to join together in remembering the victims of the attack, while also increasing public awareness about the threats posed by hate, bigotry and Islamophobia to the Canadian social fabric,” says NCCM Public Affairs Coordinator Eve Torres.
Today’s open letter echoes a previous call for January 29 to be declared a National Day of Remembrance and Action on Islamophobia, which was made by a coalition of national and Quebec-based Muslim organizations, led by the NCCM, in the immediate aftermath of the attack….
