Legal Project News Clips: 1/21/13 –1/27/13

The LP works to protect the right in the West to freely discuss Islam, radical Islam, terrorism, and terrorist funding.

News Clips that Shouldn't be Missed:

Islamist pressure group jumps the shark, by whining, retroactively, about the insensitivity of Jabba the Hut's palace Lego toy from 1983
Star Wars Episode VII" has started production for a summer 2015 release, but the universe is under attack now — with charges of "insensitivity" by the Turkish Cultural Community of Austria.
The Daily Mail reports:
"Lego has been accused of racism by the Turkish community over a Star Wars toy allegedly depicting a mosque.

US officials can kill our jihadist enemies but they can't analyze, criticize, or challenge the beliefs that motivate them
Can we at least agree that reports of al-Qaeda's death have been greatly exaggerated? You'll recall that Peter Bergen, a director at the New America Foundation and the national-security analyst for CNN, began pronouncing AQ dead last summer. At the Aspen Institute, he even gave a speech titled "Time to Declare Victory: Al Qaeda Is Defeated." He defended this thesis repeatedly, including in a debate with me on Wolf Blitzer's show on CNN.

SOS Clinton finally bows to reality by revealing "Jihadist" are trying to kill us
After four years of pretending there is no jihad against the free world, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton blurted out the truth during her testimony on the Benghazi jihad massacre Wednesday: "We now face a spreading jihadist threat," she said, adding: "We have to recognize this is a global movement."

SOS Clinton denies that she blamed the film for Libyan violence, despite evidence to the contrary
No end to the dissembling. "Hillary Clinton: 'I Did Not Say That It Was About the Video for Libya,'" from Fox News, January 23 (thanks to all who sent this in):

Other Clips:

Did Google crack down on Gates of Vienna for its anti-Islam speech?
Our old blogspot blog was suddenly restored early this morning. There was no email from Google, nor any other explanation. Google giveth, and Google taketh away.
The move here is permanent, however. As I said in my "we've moved" post at the old blog:

Spanish Artist threatened for eating Koran
The Navarran artist Abel Azcona, international exponent of performance art, is receiving threats because of his work "Eating a Koran", in which he eats pages from the book sacred to Muslims.

SOS Clinton's blaming the film makes a difference to the Copt imprisoned for writing it
Secretary of State Hillary Clinton arrived back in the Senate, after dodging a few falling safes, multiple banana peels and an ornery dog named Henry, to give a carefully prepared histrionic rant which can be summed up, "I do care a lot" and "None of this was my fault" and "What difference at this point does it make?"

Geert Wilders trip to Australia again causing problems
The obvious question is, what are they afraid of? Is it fear of violence, or vandalism, or simply fear of association?... The Dutch MP causing so much concern is Geert Wilders, the leader of the Party of Freedom (PVV), the king-maker in Dutch politics over the past two years.

EU wants to regulate journalists based on their speech
The "high level" recommendations that will be used to draft future EU legislation also attack David Cameron for failing to automatically implement proposals by the Lord Justice Leveson inquiry for a state regulation of British press.

Terrorist sentenced for Mumbai attack and yet another plot against Danish newspaper for the Mohammed cartoons
International terrorist David Coleman Headley, 52, was sentenced to 35 years in a US federal prison yesterday for his key role in plotting deadly attacks in Mumbai in 2008…Headly also pleaded guilty to taking part in a plot, along with co-conspirator Canadian-Pakistani businessman Tahawwur Rana, to attack Jyllands-Posten's headquarters in Copenhagen and Aarhus and behead employees and thrown their heads into the street.
