Dear Reader:

Two topics:

(1) I took part in a panel discussion on Monday for "The Agenda with Steve Paikin" on the Canadian television station TVO. We discussed West-Muslim relations since 9/11 with a focus on Turkey. The show lasts 38 minutes and can be viewed by clicking here. It was 3-against-1, with me the 1. Judge for yourself how it came out.

(2) The year 2010 has been a time of positive developments for the Middle East Forum, the think tank I founded and head. Two points in particular:

  • The distinguished historian Efraim Karsh joined us as editor of the Middle East Quarterly,

  • The Forum's careful anti-Islamism finds new appreciation as anti-Islam sentiments gain traction. For example, the Washington Post recently called me "perhaps the most prominent U.S. scholar on radical Islam."

Our growth and influence depend on generous contributions of people like yourself and I hope you will bolster this work by donating to the Forum.

(The Forum, a 501c3 organization, offers 2010 tax credit for donations by U.S. taxpayers received via credit card by 9:00 p.m. EST on December 31 and for checks dated until December 31.)

Yours sincerely,

Daniel Pipes
